About Livie ...
She was called „Chick“; she used to hold a skipping-rope at her mouth as a microphone and kept crooning something in it.
The skipping-rope was replaced by a real microphone in various competitions when she was a teenager.
She started singing with a brass band, but always chose the place behind the percussion instruments
as an ideal position for her performance. As shame diminished, the microphone holder was moved towards
the edge of the stage centimetre by centimetre. Simultaneously, she already sang in several bands and
liked pop-rock the most.
She also recorded several successes in competitions, including the victory in Doremi, however,
a family
house at the back of beyond in a God-forsake place is an ideal oasis of peace for living, no doubt,
but was inconsistent with lucrative offers. Children and family were more important than singing after all.
Nevertheless she managed to get out of the daily whirl of maternal obligations and continued singing.
This involved various ceremonies – welcoming new-born children, weddings, openings, and the repertoire thus
extended to classical music, swing, jazz and children’s songs. Due to the visits of Karel Čapek Memorial
in Stará Huť she acquired another hobby - theatre. And so she played several characters from the classical
area and looks forward to further engagements. Certain independence of her children (Sabinka 93 and Adámek 96) and understanding of her husband enabled her to participate in the "Miniprojekt IS" duet and record the first album "Propast u nohou" (Abbys at the feet) with a band called Pepela, which is classified rather as folk music than pop music. She keeps commuting to Prague for her singing and dance lessons, writes texts, composes and sings. In 2003 she recorded her first author album with Pepela called “Vzteky bez sebe“ (Out of temper). Lívie starts to be heard in radios, she sings with her heart, and her voice pleasant in the entire range underlines her performance. She prepares projects for children, including a children’s CD, and works on the third album with Pepela, again an author one, which should also introduce interesting guests.
And the last question: When will some new album be out? Well, it will not be sooner than the end of 2004, but not significantly later either.
Livie about herself …
I love everything beautiful – from folk music to jazz and I do not avoid anything new. When I am singing, I am happy and when I am happy, I live. Live too!
And plans for the future … we shall see …
